As homes mature, wood windows exposed to the elements start showing signs of deterioration. As part of our full-service exterior painting, our in-house carpenters repair your window's wood before we paint — so it stays protected, looks great, and holds up for years to come.
Save thousands over full window replacement — we repair wood windows, replacing only what's needed to make your windows last longer.
Before
AfterThe Problem
Wood rot is the natural decomposition of wood, caused by moisture and several types of fungi working together to break it down. In nature it's a healthy process that returns nutrients to the soil. In your home, it's a serious problem if left untreated.
Different fungi cause different reactions, so rot doesn't always look the same. That's why it's important to have a professional inspect your windows for signs of damage.
Wood rot often hides behind paint — our team inspects both visually and by touch at key points around your home.

The only permanent solution for rotting wood is replacement. Once wood begins to decompose, it cannot be restored, and the longer it's left untreated, the greater the risk of the rot spreading to surrounding wood and deeper into your home. Every home is different, which is why we'll recommend the best solution based on the extent of the damage — from targeted wood repairs and partial replacements to replacing full sections when necessary. Our goal is to restore your home's integrity and help keep it in pristine condition, protected from the elements for years to come.
On windows, we can do whatever is needed: replace a sill, nosing, or brick mold. We can even rebuild the sash with new wood and replace the fogged glass. For siding, trim, soffits, fascias, gutter boards, band boards, and door frames, see our Wood & Siding Replacement page.
The Process
Before we paint, one of our skilled carpenters comes out to inspect and repair your window's wood.
The wood we use is pre-primed — ready to withstand weather from the moment it's installed — and matched to your window's existing material so the repair blends in perfectly.
Once carpentry is done, our painters take over: professionally prepping, including scraping, priming, and caulking, ensuring the window is ready for 2 coats of the best-quality exterior paint.
Our Quality Managers monitor progress and quality from start to finish.
Accountability
At the end of every job we hand out a Grade Card so we get honest feedback. For us this is one of the most critical parts of the process. Every member of our team reads every grade card — because customer satisfaction is the priority, and we work to earn your trust on every project.
